Great little site with lovely owners who were very welcoming. Very well equipped tents. Fantastic value.

Glamping done right. Bell tent had everything we needed to cook with and lighting etc, bed very comfortable and Board games & extra blankets provided.(we took our own bedding+pillows). We bought a birthday banners pack-all Eco friendly and looked the part, a log pack for fire pit, loads there and extra loo roll to boot. We bbqd the first night and ate out the rest due to weather. The loo/shower is based away from the bell tent but never phased us once we got settled, no worse than the distance at home. The compost loo was changed frequently and the shower was hot. Sink outside great for everything from dishes to brushing your teeth!! We had horrific thunder and lightning and winds but felt comfortable and safe inside. We brought the outdoor table inside and I got hammered at UNO. Helmsley has lots to offer in the way of shops, a coop, clothes and gifts shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, and an outdoor pool, there was a market on Thursday, and a brilliant birds of prey sanctuary too. Flamingo land and York both half an hour or so away. The owners were lovely😁 ☺️🙏 There on hand for anything and very knowledgeable of the area. We will definitely be back.

Incredible location, excellent and friendly owners. The rain didn't stop our fun. Tent extremely well equipped, lovely clean site - eco-friendly compost toilets just so you know! Hot shower, warm bedding. Fantastic views, back to nature - peace and quiet!

Second visit to freespirig glamping and it won't be my last! We love the location, the set up and the tents. There is everything you could need here and the children love the freedom the site provides, being outdoors all day and night. Perfect for a weekend away

Beautiful tents, facilities and views. Local town very cute and lots to do. Staff were very helpful and kind.

A perfect stay for a family with both younger and older kids. The site was so peaceful, we watched the lambs playing in the field and listened to the birds. We loved how eco friendly the site was. Everything was clean, looked after and we'll thought out. We just turned up with our clothes, food and bedding (although they would have sorted the bedding too!) We will be back, there's so much more exploring to do.

Andy was there to meet us on arrival. Took us to our tent..1st time wife has done camping/clamping..she is hooked now. Tent very spacious bed sooo comfy. Asked for extras as it was our anniversary and wife wanted something different. Nights wer a bit chilly but extra thick quilt n hot water bottles went down well. Already thinking of a return next year. If you want a quiet relaxing break this is the place..

Stayed here recently with my partner and loved it, great little site with three glamp tents, great amenities, personal toilet and shower with hot water, supplied a stove, bbq amongst other things. The tent itself was amazing and we couldn't have been happier! The perfect place for a couple or family 😁

From our warm and friendly welcome 6 days ago, to us needing jump started before we could leave this morning, (I promise I didn't sabotage the car just so we couid stay a little longer) our stay at Free Spirit Glamping has been amazing. Everything we needed was right there ready for us, the tent was immaculate and inviting, the views there are beautiful and the night sky, if you're lucky enough to get a clear night was simply breathtaking. Don't worry about getting cold either, the goose feather duvets would keep you snug even on the coldest of nights and there's beautiful throws on all the beds as well!! Our children have loved it here too, our youngest didn't want to come home and to be honest, I'd have happily stayed there myself. I'd highly recommend adding all the extras. For what I think is a very reasonable fee, it took away all the hassle of having to unpack everything and set it up, giving us more precious family time. Thank you so, so much to you all for having us and for jump starting our car this morning 🤣 We will definitely be seeing you again next year. ❤🙋‍♀️

Comfortable, well equipped, amazing views , friendly and helpful proprietors. Personal toilet, shower and washing up sink with hot water. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting to escape the rat race in a spacious tent ready for use ,with comfy beds, bbq, stove and fire pit.
